What is a rule profile, and how do I choose one?
A rule profile is the set of checks we run on your text. You can pick a ready-made profile and start straight away, or open the Rule Explorer & Preset Builder to browse every rule, switch individual ones on or off, set your spelling preferences, and save the result as your own reusable profile.
What can I download when the check finishes?
Two things: the corrected manuscript comes back as a Word .docx with your original formatting kept intact, and the detailed findings report comes back as a PDF listing every issue flagged with its context and explanation. From the author workspace you can also export a whole manuscript as .docx or bundle.
How do live corrections work while I write?
In the author workspace, the chapter you are working on is checked as you write and findings appear in a side panel grouped by category. Safe findings offer a one-click fix that preserves your formatting, while confusion cases remain advisory so you make the final call based on context.
What happens to my manuscript after I upload it?
Text you submit to the editing tools is processed entirely in server memory and is never written to disk, databases, or backups. Once the session ends, it is cleared. We never use your manuscripts to train language models, spelling predictors, or any machine-learning systems.
Can I use the checks inside Word or my browser?
Yes. The Microsoft Word add-in runs the same checks inside Word so you can work directly in your open document. Softaware Suggestions, our Chrome extension, gives you Greek writing suggestions in text fields across the web.
